Summary of THE NEW FILM Daughter Stories:

The film is based on a short story of the same title, which tells the story of a novelist and two children who experienced the presence of something evil when they moved into a house adjacent to the burial mound.

John James (Kevin Costner), a novelist who had just divorced, moved into an old house with her daughter, Louisa (Ivana Baquero), and young son, Sam (Gattlin Griffith). Relations were strained John and Louisa and Louisa accuses John never loved his mother, and ruin everything

While exploring the land and forests surrounding his home, they crossed a large burial mound. Louisa immediately directly interested in the cemetery, while Sam reluctantly approached. On their first night at home Louisa heard strange noises outside her bedroom window. He did not see a humanoid creature lurking on the roof. The next day Sam finds a loaded gun hidden in the piano in the living room, Sam and his father showed it to Louisa. John then buried in the garden.

In town, John was informed that his house nearby known as the disappearance of a woman who lived there. Later, she found Louisa pet cats torn apart near the house. Louisa returned to the mound after school and, when they were relaxing in the sun, heard strange noises like something is being pounced Louisa

That night, John found a trace of muddy footprints from the door toward the open front door to the bathroom. Louisa was in with the door locked, sat in the bath, clean the mud from the body and hair. Muddy water flowing out and changed to red with blood. That night, John finds Louisa sleepwalking in his room. When he returned to the place Louisa euthanize her sleep, she finds a strange doll made of straw, in which there is a dark ball containing a spider that lived.

Louisa next morning down to breakfast wearing a short dress and makeup. When John asked him about the doll she said never seen her before. When Louisa and Sam is at Louisa school plagued by a girl, and, after she got home she tore her doll's head, John found the pile of muddy clothes in her room and, at the burial mound, Louisa toy doll head along with the remnants of a crow a bloody and a nest of spiders in the drawer where it's stored Louisa straw doll.

Louisa confronted and tortured by a girl and Louisa began staring at the stairs right behind her. John was called to take Louisa from school when he complained of abdominal pain. When the teacher Sam, Cassandra (Samantha Mathis), gave his phone number on John, Louisa became the bizarre. That night, John saw Louisa emerged from the woods after he was forbidden to return to the mound. He has a rash and what looked like bite marks on the skin on his neck, and at dinner she ate like a beast and as if very hungry.
